In the morning, our representative will meet you at your selected location in Luxor, and you’ll be picked up in a comfortable AC vehicle with a reliable driver. In addition, an expert Egyptologist will accompany you through your tour of Dendera and Abydos temples from Luxor.
The trip to Abydos
Firstly, we’ll head to “Abydos,” an Egyptian town on the Nile River, about 170 Km north of Luxor. You’ll enjoy a 3-hour car trip during which you can see the beautiful scenes of the Nile Valley and Egyptian villages, listen to interesting stories from your tour guide, relax, or have fun with our agency’s team.
Temple of Seti I in Abydos
The Temple of Seti I in Abydos is one of the hidden gems in Egypt, and you’ll like exploring the site with no crowds. This temple was built by King Seti I, but it was completed during his son King Ramses II's reign after Seti's death. It was dedicated to the god Osiris, one of the main gods in ancient Egyptian religion.
Marvel at the beautifully colored wall scenes in the inner courts of the temple, while your tour guide interprets its meanings and symbolism.

Temple of Dendera
We’ll move to Dendera, approximately 105 km south of Abydos. It is about an hour and a half trip.
The temple of Dendera was built during the Ptolemaic period in Egypt and was dedicated to the goddess Hathor, the goddess of love, motherhood, and music in ancient Egypt.
The most awesome feature of the temple is the ceiling of the inner court, which has been carefully decorated with intricate astronomical motifs that represent the ancient Egyptian zodiac.

- Rescheduling tours is available with no extra charges up to 24 hours before the date of the tour.
- If you cancel at least 24 hours before the tour’s date, you will be fully refunded. But in case you cancel the tour less than 24 hours before the tour, 50% of the entire tour price will be charged.
- Extra fees may be applied for solo travelers.
