Tour Plan
Pick up
In the morning, you’ll find our tour guide waiting at your hotel’s door with a private, air-conditioned vehicle to start your day tour smoothly.
Giza Pyramids
Our first adventure will be the pyramids and sphinx tour at the Giza Plateau. Here you can explore the excellence of Egyptian archeology in the Old Kingdom when kings were buried in massive Pyramids that reached their peak in the reign of King Khufu, the owner of the greatest Pyramid. He was succeeded by two kings who also chose to be buried at the Giza Plateau in two enormous pyramids, creating a unique archaeological complex of elegant structures. This site is symbolically protected by the Great Sphinx, which represents King Khafre wearing his royal headdress but has the body of a lion, signifying power and authority.
After seeing these monuments, we'll move to the panoramic viewpoint where you can see the three pyramids aligned together in a breathtaking scene.
Old Cairo tour
- Old Cairo tour
After finishing our Pyramids and Sphinx tour, we’ll move to Old Cairo to explore its Coptic landmarks.
- The Hanging Church
Originally known as Saint Virgin Mary's Church, it earned the name "Hanging Church" because it was constructed atop the Roman fortress of Babylon. It is one of the oldest churches in Egypt because it dates back to the 3rd century. You’ll enjoy its beautiful architecture and interior design, especially its unique wooden ceiling that takes the form of Noah's ark.
- St. Sergius and Bacchus Church
The church is locally known as “Abu Sirga”, and it has special religious significance because it is believed to be built where the holy family stayed during their journey through Egypt.
- The Ben Ezra Synagogue
This Jewish Synagogue is the oldest one in Cairo because it dates back to the 9th century. Besides, it acquired great fame in the 19th century after the discovery of a large collection of hidden documents called “genizah” that helped to learn a lot about the history of Jews.
The Coptic Museum
Completing our Old Cairo tour, we’ll move to the nearby Coptic Museum to see the largest collection of Coptic exhibitions in the world. Here you can enjoy seeing Coptic sculptures, colorful icons, frescoes, and manuscripts.
Al-Muizz Street
Next, we’ll step into a new era of Cairo’s rich history at Al-Muizz Street. It is not a typical street, but a historical one where you can enjoy a great walking tour among the beautifully decorated Islamic monuments.
Khan El Khalili Bazaar
By the end of our day, we’ll have an amusing walking tour at Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the most renowned bazaar in Africa. Here you can walk as a local, wear traditional clothing, taste Egyptian food, purchase souvenirs, and have a cup of Egyptian tea at El-Fishawy cafe.
