Pyramids Cairo tour
The Giza Pyramids are the most iconic monuments in Egypt. This complex includes three massive pyramids, originally built to serve as burial chambers for three kings from the 4th dynasty: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure.
The Pyramid of King Khufu is the largest, so it is known as “the Great Pyramid” and it holds unique significance as it is the only surviving monument of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Next to the Great Pyramid, you’ll see three small pyramids known as “queen’s pyramids”.
The second one is the Pyramid of khafre. You may notice that it appears taller than the Great Pyramid because it is constructed on higher ground. Also, it is the only Pyramid that still has remains of the outer alabaster layer on its top.
It is to be mentioned that each pyramid was originally part of a large funerary complex that consisted of a valley temple, a causeway, and a mortuary temple before the main Pyramid. The valley temple of Khafre’s Pyramid complex is the only preserved one, so you can visit it and learn about its function as the place where the mummification and purification of the deceased king were performed.
Nearby the valley temple, you’ll meet the most iconic Egyptian statue, the sphinx. It is a massive statue with the body of a seated lion and the head of King Khafre. There were many theories about its function, but the most accepted one is that it was a symbol of protection for the royal necropolis.
Then, you’ll explore the third Pyramid of King Menkaure and have some free time to explore the site at your own pace. You can also enjoy a camel ride and purchase some souvenirs before heading to the panoramic viewpoint to conclude our tour with an incredible view of the three pyramids and the Sphinx.
Grand Egyptian Museum tour
Next, we’ll move just 2 kilometers away from the Great Pyramids of Giza to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum. From the moment you enter the museum, you can feel the grandeur of ancient Egypt blending with the modern and Elegant atmosphere of the museum. In the grand hall, you’ll meet the colossal statue of King Ramses II before having a tour of the main galleries of the museum with our professional Egyptologist.
Lunch time
Now, it is time for a lunch break at an authentic restaurant. You can relax, enjoy the local vibes, and choose your favorite Egyptian dish.
Muizz street
Then we'll move to Muizz Street to visit the most breathtaking Islamic site in Egypt, because it is not a single monument but a long street crowded with magnificent buildings dating back to various Islamic eras in Egyptian history.
Bazaar of Khan el-Khalili
At the end of our tour in Muizz Street, we’ll stop at the bazaar of Khan el-Khalili to enjoy the authentic spirit of Egypt and buy unique gifts and souvenirs, then end your tour in Cairo with a Cup of tea while relaxing at El-fishawy cafe, the oldest in the whole city.
Drop-off
At the end of our unforgettable ladies-only day tour, you'll be dropped off at you hotel in Cairo or any other location.
