Your day tour will begin with a visit to the new Egyptian Museum in Giza, a few kilometers from the Giza Pyramids.​ It is named “the Grand Egyptian Museum” to distinguish it from the older Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square.

Our first stop will be at the hanging church, which acquired its name from its elevated location above the gate of the Roman fortress of Babylon. The internal walls and ceiling of the church are covered with stunning Coptic decorations.

The next attraction to see in Old Cairo is the Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus, which is known by locals as “the church of Abu Serga”, its unique religious significance emerged from the belief that it was constructed over one of the crypts where the holy family once stayed. This crypt still exists and can be visited during the tour.

The next tour will be at the Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of the oldest Jewish landmarks in Egypt, as it dates back to the 9th century. In addition, it acquired more attention after the discovery of the so-called “Cairo Geniza”, a treasure of old Jewish manuscripts.
