Tour Plan

Pick up

In the early morning, we’ll pick you up from any selected location in Cairo, Giza, or even from the airport. Then you’ll start a hassle-free trip in a luxury vehicle with a trusted driver.

Grand Egyptian Museum

Your day tour will begin with a visit to the new Egyptian Museum in Giza, a few kilometers from the Giza Pyramids. It is named “the Grand Egyptian Museum” to distinguish it from the older Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square.

Once you arrive at the Giza Plateau, you’ll be amazed by the impressive façade of the Museum, designed to be in harmony with the timeless grandeur of the Pyramids.

You’ll start your tour inside the museum, accompanied by our professional Egyptologist, who will help you discover every little detail there. The Museum’s entrance opens to the grand hall, where you can see the colossal statue of Ramses II. Then, you can reach the upper floor through the Grand staircase, where you can also explore tens of pharaonic statues.

The core of the Museum consists of 12 main galleries comprising exhibitions ranging from the prehistoric period to the Roman times. During this tour, you will explore various aspects of daily life, religion, and society in ancient Egyptian civilization.

Citadel of Saladin and Mosque of Muhammad Ali

Continue your tour at the iconic Citadel of Saladin, one of the most important Cairo must-see landmarks built during the medieval ages by the order of one of the greatest Islamic leaders, “Sultan Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi”.

Our next tour inside the walls of the citadel will be at a unique architectural masterpiece, “the mosque of Mohammed Ali” also known as “the alabaster mosque”, referring to the beautiful marble panels that cover its walls.

The Hanging Church

Then we’ll head to Old Cairo to begin our Coptic and Islamic Cairo tour. Our first stop will be at the hanging church, which acquired its name from its elevated location above the gate of the Roman fortress of Babylon. The internal walls and ceiling of the church are covered with stunning Coptic decorations.

Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus (Abu Serga)

The next attraction to see in Old Cairo is the Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus, which is known by locals as “the church of Abu Serga”, its unique religious significance emerged from the belief that it was constructed over one of the crypts where the holy family once stayed. This crypt still exists and can be visited during the tour.

Ben Ezra Synagogue

The next tour will be at the Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of the oldest Jewish landmarks in Egypt, as it dates back to the 9th century. In addition, it acquired more attention after the discovery of the so-called “Cairo Geniza”, a treasure of old Jewish manuscripts.

Khan El Khalili Bazaar

We’ll end this fantastic day tour at the Bazaar of Khan Elkhalili, one of the largest bazaars in Africa.

Here you can immerse yourself in the Egyptian real life while having an amusing walking tour through the old stores displaying Egyptian handmade products, traditional clothing, jewelry, and pharaonic souvenirs.

Finally, don’t miss savoring a delicious cup of mint tea at the authentic cafe of El-Fishawy, the oldest of this type in the city.

drop-off

Finally, after a lot of amazing moments on this day tour, we’ll smoothly take you back to your hotel in Cairo.
