Tour Plan
Day 1: The Grandeur of the East Bank
Your journey begins in Luxor, the world’s greatest open-air museum. Upon arrival, you will visit the Karnak Temple Complex, a vast open-air museum and the largest ancient religious site in the world. After exploring its massive pylons and the Great Hypostyle Hall, you will visit the majestic Luxor Temple. Located in the heart of the city, this temple is particularly stunning as it was built by Amenhotep III and finished by Ramesses II. You will then check into your luxury Nile cruise for dinner and an overnight stay in Luxor.
Day 2: The Mysteries of the West Bank
After breakfast, you will cross to the West Bank to explore the burial ground of the Pharaohs. You will visit the Valley of the Kings, home to the rock-cut tombs of New Kingdom royalty. The tour continues to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a masterpiece of ancient architecture built into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. To complete the morning, you will visit Medinet Habu, the magnificent mortuary temple of Ramesses III, known for its well-preserved reliefs. In the afternoon, the cruise begins its scenic sail toward Edfu.
Day 3: The Temples of Horus and Sobek
This day is dedicated to the wonders along the riverbanks. You will start by visiting the Edfu Temple, the most incredibly preserved temple in Egypt dedicated to the falcon god, Horus. You will reach the temple via a traditional horse-drawn carriage. Back on board, enjoy lunch as you sail to Kom Ombo. Here, you will visit the unique Double Temple of Kom Ombo, which is perfectly symmetrical and dedicated to two gods: Sobek (the crocodile god) and Haroeris (the falcon god). The ship then continues its journey to Aswan.
Day 4: Aswan’s Engineering and Island Wonders
Upon reaching Aswan, you will explore the city's unique blend of ancient and modern history. The tour starts at the High Dam, a modern engineering marvel that created Lake Nasser. Next, you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk, which offers a rare look at ancient Egyptian stone-cutting techniques. Finally, a short boat ride takes you to the romantic Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and located on the beautiful Agilkia Island. You will spend your final night on board in Aswan.
Day 5: Departure and Optional Abu Simbel
On your final day, you will check out from the cruise. You have the golden opportunity for an optional early morning excursion to the Abu Simbel Temples, the massive rock-cut temples of Ramesses II and Queen Nefertari, which are among the most famous landmarks in the world. After the visit (or a relaxed morning in Aswan), we will provide a private transfer to Aswan Airport or the railway station for your final departure.
