Tour Plan

Pick up

Your day tour will start at 9 am when you’ll be picked up from your location in Cairo by a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle and then proceed to the first destination in Giza.

Pyramids Cairo tour

Upon arrival at the Giza plateau, your tour guide will take you on an unforgettable tour to see the great monuments of the Giza Complex. This site was dedicated to three large funerary complexes of three successive pharaohs: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. It comprises three huge Pyramids, the Sphinx, the surviving valley temple of Khafre, and small pyramids known as the Queens’ Pyramids.

  • The Great Pyramid of Khufu

The centerpiece of the Giza complex is the Pyramid of Khufu, which is the oldest and largest Pyramid in the world, built 4,500 years ago as a royal tomb for King Khufu, a pharaoh of the Old Kingdom.

Our Egyptologist will reveal to you everything about the Pyramids’ history and architecture, furthermore, he will show you the queens’ Pyramids next to it and the boat bits where huge wooden boats were found, but they are now exhibited in the nearby Grand Egyptian Museum.

  • The pyramid of Khafre

It is the second-largest Pyramid, which belonged to King Khafre and is distinguished by the good state of preservation of its funerary complex.

  • The valley temple

You will then have a tour of the Valley Temple of Khafre, which was once part of his mortuary complex dedicated to the purification and mummification of the deceased king. Our Egyptologist will share many fascinating facts about the process of mummification in ancient Egypt.

  • The Sphinx

You will meet the great Sphinx, which is the most renowned statue in Egypt and has become a symbol of ancient Egyptian civilization, along with the three Pyramids. You‘ll learn a lot about its history, discovery, and its symbolism as a guardian of the royal necropolis.

  • The panoramic viewpoint

After seeing each monument independently, it’ll be time to see a scenic view of the entire site, so we’ll move to the panoramic viewpoint but don’t forget your camera because many splendid scenes are awaiting.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC)

After finishing your Pyramids Cairo tour at Giza, you’ll be moved to Old Cairo to begin your tour at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.

It is a new museum that was inaugurated in April 2021, when a great parade was moved from the Egyptian Museum to this new Museum to transfer the royal mummies to their new home at the Royal Mummies Gallery at NMEC.

These 20 royal mummies are now displayed in a special hall designed to resemble the tombs of the Valley of the Kings, where the mummies were originally discovered.

After seeing the royal mummies gallery, you’ll visit the main gallery where exhibitions offer a full picture of Egyptian civilization from prehistory to modern days.
