The Giza pyramids
Once you arrive at the Giza plateau, you can feel the grandeur of the Giza Pyramids. This site is the home of three giant pyramids dating back to the Old Kingdom, specifically to the 4th dynasty, when the pyramids' architecture reached its peak in the reign of King Khufu, resulting in the construction of the Great Pyramid as a part of the funerary complex of the king.
The landmark of the Giza pyramids
the first monument to see is the great Pyramid of Khufu. Imagine that this enormous pyramid, now approximately 138 meters tall, originally served as a tomb for King Khufu. It’s not only the largest pyramid in Egypt, but it also held the title of the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3000 years, until the Eiffel Tower was built.

The Pyramid of khafre
The pyramid of khafre served as a royal tomb for King Khafre and was part of his funerary complex that also includes the valley temple and the Great Sphinx.
The valley temple was the place where mummification and purification rituals were held before the king’s burial. Fortunately, the valley temple of King Khafre is well-preserved compared to buildings dating to the same period.
Then you will see one of the landmarks of Egyptian history, "the Sphinx", which is a colossal statue representing a recumbent lion with the head of King Khafre. The sphinx was originally considered a symbolic guardian for the royal tombs.

Panoramic viewpoint
Before leaving the Giza Pyramids complex, we will stop at the panoramic viewpoint to enjoy the breathtaking view of the three pyramids aligned together, take some great photos, ride camels, or enjoy the beauty of Ancient Egypt.
The Grand Egyptian Museum tour
After finishing our Giza pyramids tour, we will head to the Grand Egyptian Museum, just 2 km from the pyramids. Here you will have an astonishing 3-hour guided tour exploring different aspects of Ancient Egypt through seeing the giant statues of pharaohs and the marvelous artifacts in the main gallery that evoke the religion, royal art, daily life, and social aspects of Ancient Egypt.

Drop-off
