Itinerary
Day 1 :
DAY 1 CAIRO ARRIVAL
Upon arrival to Cairo Airport Our representative will meet and assist you crossing the customs hall, then picking you up to your hotel to check in and stay in Cairo overnight
Day 2 :
DAY 2 GIZA PYRAMIDS MEMPHIS AND SAQQARA
Our representative will meet and transfer you from hotel to Giza Plateau to visit the impressive 3 Pyramids of Kings Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure which are guarded by the rock-cut statue (The Sphinx). The Great Pyramid of King Cheops is the only wonder of the seven wonders of the ancient world that is still standing today, although it is 2,000 years older than any other wonder on the list Then you will go to witness the Complex of Saqqara which belongs to King Zoser and his step pyramid which is considered the first pyramid in Egypt and the first rock-cut building in the history. Moving on towards Memphis”one of the ancient Egyptian Capitals until around 2,200 BC) which was a cult center for God Ptah god of creation and artworks, you will find there a lot of temples and monuments dedicated for him After finishing the tour you will be picked up back to Giza railway station to take the sleeper train towards Luxor and stay on the train overnight.
Day 3 :
DAY 3 LUXOR EST BANK SIGHTSEIING
Upon arrival to Luxor at the morning, our Representative will escort you to visit the two Massive temples on the eastern bank of the Nile. The first on is Luxor Temple which is believed that one of the ancient Egyptian’s festivals was held inside the temple as there are different scenes on the walls representing the celebration of the festival. Its inner part was built by King Amenhotep III while the outer part was built by King Ramses II. After entering the temple you will find a mosque called (Abu Al-Haggag) was built on the ruins of a church which were built inside the temple. To the rear of the temple there are chapels built by King Thutmosis III and Alexander the Great. The Second Temple is Karnak Temple Complex which comprises a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels, pylons, and other buildings. Building at the complex began during the reign of Senusret I in the Middle Kingdom and continued into the Ptolemaic Period. It’s a vast open-air museum, and the second largest ancient religious site in the world. It’s mainly a place to worship the Theban triad (Gods Amon, his consort Mut, and their son Khunso). Then going back to hotel and stay overnight in Luxor
Day 4 :
DAY 4 LUXOR WEST BANK SIGHTSEEING
After Breakfast. Checking out the hotel Then, Our representative will lead you to visit the archaeological sites of the ancient Egyptians on the west bank of the Nile including (Valley of the kings where you will see the well preserved tombs belonging to the kings of the new kingdom including the great ruler Ramses II and the child King Tut Ankh Amon, The Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut it’s called “the Holy of Holies”. It is one the best architecture buildings. It consist of three levels connected with each other by ramps and has different scenes on its walls depicting the divine birth of the Queen and her Commercial expedition to Punt Land. The temple is mainly dedicated to worship the supreme god Amon-Ra, and the 2 Colossi of Memnun which are two massive statues representing King Amenhotep III in a seating Position). After finishing the tour in the west bank, you will be driven to Luxor railway station to the Train (around 3 hrs. travelling) towards Aswan. Upon arrival you will be transferred to hotel to stay overnight in Aswan
Day 5 :
DAY 5 ABU SIMBLE TEMPLE ASWAN
At 3.30 am you will leave your hotel to go in a convoy “Starts at 4.00 am” towards Abu Simbel to visit the location of the most famous temples (The Great and Small temples) of King Ramses II and his wife Queen Nefertari. The most spectacular aspect of this temple is its setting in the solid rock above the banks of the Nile River. The complex is part the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the “Nubian Monuments,” which run from Abu Simbel downriver to Philae (near Aswan). It is believed that the axis of the temple was positioned by the ancient Egyptian architects in such a way that on October 22 and February 22, the rays of the sun would penetrate the sanctuary and illuminate the sculptures on the back wall, except for the statue of Ptah, the god connected with the Underworld, who always remained in the dark. These dates are allegedly the king’s birthday and coronation day. Then going back to Aswan around 1 pm Afternoon, Our representative will pick you up for a Felucca ride around the islands of Aswan ,Enjoy the magnificent scenery and the fresh breeze while witnessing (Kitchener’s Botanical Garden where you will see different different beautiful types of subtropical, exotic, and rare plantings which were imported from all over the world and Elephantine island which is the largest island of Aswan area , Elephantine is Greek for elephant as It is believed that the island received its name because it was a major ivory trading center. There are different monuments which were excavated in the island like the ruins of a temple dedicated to the ram god Khnum “God of water”. Elephantine was considered as cult center for god Khnum. Then, you will be transferred to your hotel to stay overnight in Aswan.
Day 6 :
DAY 6 ASWAN SIGHTSEEING
After Breakfast, checking out. Then Our representative will pick you up from your hotel to visit Aswan’s High Dam which is one of the most important achievements of the last century in Egypt .It Contains 18 times the material used in the great pyramid of Cheops and It provides Egypt with the water and electricity and secures the country from the destructive inundation of the Nile River. Then you will visit the Temple of Isis at Philae which its construction started during the reign of Ptolemy II and completed by the Roman emperors. And it was dedicated to goddess Isis which was considered the mother of god and she is the mother god Horus and the consort of God Osiris. After that going to Aswan railway station to catch the sleeper train back to Cairo and stay overnight on the train.
Day 7 :
DAY 7 CAIRO SIGHTSEEING
Upon arrival to Cairo you are going to continue your journey through the history starting with the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities which was built in 1902 and it exhibits a large number of items and treasures (exceeding 120,000 masterpieces) dating back to the ancient Egyptian period and Greco-Roman period including the marvelous collection of the child king Tut Ankh Amon After that proceeding to a new era “The Coptic Cairo” where you will visit the “Hanging Church” which is dating back to the 3rd Century AD and was dedicated to Virgin Mary ,It’s called “Hanging” because of its location above the gatehouse of the ancient Roman fortress “Babylon” .It contains 110 Holy icons depicting beautiful religious scenes. Then visiting “Saint Sergius and Bacchus Church” which is believed to have been built on the spot where the holy family rested at the end of their journey into Egypt. And ending Coptic Cairo tour with a visit to the “Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra” which gained its importance from its Geniza (Store room) was found during the 19th century containing a treasure of abandoned Hebrew secular and sacred manuscripts Then moving to “Islamic Cairo” and taking a walking tour in the 1000 years old “el Moez” street which is considered as an open air museum for Terrific Islamic Buildings which are decorated with different patterns and paints, then ending our tour with going to Khan el Khalili Bazaar which is one of Cairo’s main attractions. The district of Khan el Khalili was originally a mausoleum called “el Zaafran” for the burial of Fatimid Caliphs, after that it became a district for the Turkish community during the Ottoman period, and now it becomes a bazaar where you will find many souvenirs shops, coffeehouses “Café” serving Arabic coffee and offering Hookah “Shisha”, and restaurants throughout the area. After that you will be picked up back to the hotel to stay overnight
Day 8 :
DAY 8 BAHARIYA OASIS WHITE DESERT
At 7.00 am our representative will pick you up in an air conditioned vehicle to go in “around 4hours” driving trip” about 360 km to Bahariya Oasis, we will stop in the middle of our way at a rest house for a little bit to get refreshed and have something to eat or drink, then we will proceed towards the oasis. Upon arrival “around 11.30 am” we will change the vehicle by 4× 4 safari car and meet our local Bedouin guide who lead us to the main attractions of the desert starting with the Sand Dunes area where you will stop to take some photos above one of the Dunes which its height can reach up to 50 meters, then we will continue our way until we stop in the black desert territory where you will see a sandy mountain covered with black stones and minerals like coal and iron ,it’s called “El Marsos Mountain” . We will take some photos to the area which was created by the actions of the volcanoes which are dating back to the pre historic period, afternoon we will continue our way to “El Haiz village” where we will have lunch and take some rest. “Also you can buy some Bedouin handmade style souvenirs”. Then “around 2.30 pm” we will get back to the vehicle to witness el “Agabat” area which consists of limestone hills and magnificent sculptures. Its name means “obstacles” as in ancient times it took 3 days to cross this area by camel Before the sunset we will head to the White Desert. Upon entering the area you will feel that you are walking on the moon surface as you will see the white sand looks like snow and the different limestone rocks all over the area resembling a variety of Human heads, chicken and Mushroom shapes, and plants forms. They were created by the act of the harsh wind in this area. You will stay in the area for awhile to capture some photos and watch the sunset. The surface’s color of the area is changing with the change of the light of the day time from orange to ink to purple and during the moon light time you will feel that you are standing a snowy area as the scenery of white sand is so similar to the snow within this time. We will take some photos around the sunset time. Then we will get back to the Black Desert for camping. On our way back to the black desert we will stop at the place of the Crystal Mountain where you will see the mountain consisting of stones looking like glass and you will find mysterious inscriptions that worth to take some photos for it. Also you will find the tracks of the desert foxes on the sand which are living around this area. Then we will go back to the Black Desert area where we will camp overnight While the Bedouins prepare the Barbeque dinner, you will sit on an open air pavilion around a fire circle watching a magnificent scenery of the sky full of stars, observing the shooting stars and smoking hookah if you want. It’s scenery you will not forget forever. After the dinner you will taste the great Bedouin tea, sitting for awhile observing this magical area, then going to sleep in a tent overnight
Day 9 :
DAY 9 BLACK AND WHITE DESERT OASIS
Getting up before the sunrise, wandering around the area and taking photos from the summit of one of the dunes or mountains to the sunrise when the sun rises between the mountains which looks like volcanoes. Then we will have breakfast and after that packing all our camping stuff in order to get ready to leave the area. “Around 9.00 am” You will be picked up in the 4×4 Safari car towards one of the high mountains in the black desert which you can ascend to take some photos to the whole terrific area of the Black desert. Then leaving this area and heading to one of the warm springs in Bahariya oasis .It’s called “Ein Mady” which is used in irrigation and you will see around it wide spaces planted with palm trees. And knowing how they planting the palm trees as the Bahariya oasis is considered one of the important centers in the world for producing the dates. After that going back to the city where we change the 4×4 by our previous vehicle and then travelling back to Cairo, dropping off at the hotel before the sunset, and stay overnight in Cairo.
Day 10 :
DAY 10 FINAL DEPARTURE
After Breakfast, Checking out the hotel. And then you will be picked up to Cairo airport to your final departure.
