Whether you’re interested in temples and tombs, vibrant city life, or the peaceful waters of the Red Sea, this itinerary offers an immersive and unforgettable Egyptian experience.
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo – Welcome to Egypt
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, a local representative greets you and assists with visa and customs formalities. You’re transferred to your hotel in central Cairo to check in and rest after your flight.
Depending on your arrival time, you can choose to relax or enjoy an optional Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids of Giza for an exciting start to your adventure. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2: Giza Pyramids, Great Sphinx & Egyptian Museum
The second day begins with one of the world’s greatest archaeological wonders — the Giza Plateau. Visit the iconic Great Pyramid of Khufu, along with the Pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Learn about ancient engineering and royal tombs while marveling at the only surviving wonder of the ancient world.
Nearby stands the mighty Great Sphinx, guarding the desert sands with its lion’s body and pharaoh’s face. You’ll also explore the Valley Temple, where mummification rituals once took place.
In the afternoon, return to downtown Cairo for a visit to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, housing over 120,000 ancient artifacts. Highlights include the golden treasures of Tutankhamun, royal sarcophagi, statues, and mummies. For an even deeper glimpse into pharaonic culture, you can enter the Royal Mummies Room (optional ticket) to view the preserved remains of Egypt’s greatest rulers.
After your museum visit, return to your hotel. Optional evening activity: a Nile Dinner Cruise featuring Egyptian cuisine and live entertainment. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 3: NMEC & Cairo by Night Tour
Begin the day at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), a sleek modern museum that takes you through Egypt’s timeline — from prehistoric times to the present. The highlight is the Royal Mummies Hall, where you can view the actual mummies of powerful pharaohs like Ramses II, Hatshepsut, and Seti I, displayed in a specially designed subterranean gallery.
After lunch and some free time, spend the afternoon at leisure or prepare for an immersive Cairo by Night experience. In the evening, your guide takes you on a walking or panoramic drive through illuminated Downtown Cairo, the vibrant Nile Corniche, and the modern side of the city. Stop for a local dessert like konafa or basbousa, or enjoy a mint tea at a traditional café. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 4: Fly to Sharm El-Sheikh – Red Sea Escape Begins
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your short domestic flight to Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt’s top Red Sea resort town. Upon arrival, you’re met and transferred to your beachside hotel or resort.
Check in and enjoy a day at leisure. Whether you prefer lounging on the beach, swimming in the pool, or exploring the local area, Sharm welcomes you with warm breezes and crystal-clear waters.
In the evening, consider visiting Naama Bay, the heart of Sharm’s nightlife and dining scene, where you’ll find cafes, seafood restaurants, and boutiques. Overnight in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Day 5: Snorkeling at Ras Mohammed or Tiran Island (Optional)
Today offers the perfect opportunity to experience the underwater magic of the Red Sea. Take an optional boat trip to Ras Mohammed National Park or Tiran Island, both known for their stunning coral reefs, colorful fish, and dramatic marine landscapes.
You’ll spend the day sailing along the coast, stopping at prime snorkeling spots. Swim in warm, clear waters and enjoy lunch onboard. Non-swimmers can often enjoy sunbathing on deck or take a glass-bottom boat ride instead.
Return to your hotel in the afternoon. Enjoy the evening at your resort or head out for a beachside dinner. Overnight in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Day 6: Optional Desert Safari or Free Day by the Sea
You can choose between relaxation or adventure today. If you’re looking for excitement, opt for an optional desert safari:
Ride quad bikes or camels across the Sinai desert.
Visit a traditional Bedouin camp and sip herbal tea.
Enjoy stargazing in the crystal-clear desert sky and a traditional BBQ dinner under the stars, accompanied by folk music and belly dancing.
Alternatively, spend the day enjoying the beach, spa treatments, or resort activities like diving, parasailing, or jet-skiing. Many hotels also offer yoga, wellness services, or sunset beach walks.
Overnight in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Day 7: Return to Cairo or Final Departure
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Sharm El-Sheikh Airport for your return flight to Cairo or direct flight home, depending on your travel arrangements.
If you’re returning to Cairo and have extra time before your international departure, you can fit in a last stroll, some final souvenir shopping, or enjoy a meal in a local café before heading to the airport.
