This carefully crafted 7-day journey blends the wonders of ancient Egypt, the spiritual serenity of Mount Sinai, and the crystal-clear waters of the Red Sea. From the legendary Pyramids of Giza to the sacred Monastery of Saint Catherine and the vibrant coral reefs of Sharm El Sheikh, this itinerary invites you to experience Egypt in all its diversity — history, culture, adventure, and relaxation in perfect harmony.
Day 1 – Arrival in Cairo & Nile Dinner Cruise
Your Egyptian adventure begins upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, where you are met and transferred to your hotel. After some rest, the magic starts with an evening Nile dinner cruise. Glide along the world’s longest river as Cairo’s skyline twinkles in the background. Enjoy a buffet dinner accompanied by live entertainment — a mix of folkloric performances, graceful belly dancing, and the colorful whirl of the tanoura dance. It’s the perfect first taste of Egypt’s hospitality and vibrant atmosphere.
Day 2 – Pyramids of Giza & Saqqara
No visit to Egypt is complete without standing before the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Your morning begins on the Giza Plateau, exploring the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. Take in the monumental scale, the ingenious ancient engineering, and the enduring mystery of these colossal tombs. Nearby, gaze upon the Great Sphinx, the enigmatic guardian of the plateau.
In the afternoon, travel south to Saqqara, the vast necropolis of Memphis. Here, marvel at the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world’s first monumental stone structure, designed by the legendary architect Imhotep. Wander among mastaba tombs adorned with lively carvings of daily life, offering an intimate glimpse into Egypt’s distant past. Return to Cairo for an evening at leisure.
Day 3 – Egyptian Museum, Islamic & Coptic Cairo
Today takes you deep into Cairo’s historic heart. Begin at the Egyptian Museum, home to an unparalleled collection of artifacts spanning over 5,000 years. Stand before the dazzling treasures of Tutankhamun, admire colossal statues, and, if you wish, visit the Royal Mummy Hall to encounter the preserved faces of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs.
After lunch, explore Islamic Cairo, starting with the Citadel of Saladin and the majestic Mosque of Muhammad Ali, with panoramic views over the city. Then dive into the bustling alleys of Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where centuries-old shops overflow with spices, gold, and hand-crafted treasures.
Later, step into Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church, the historic Abu Serga Church — built above the spot believed to have sheltered the Holy Family — and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, steeped in Jewish heritage. In the evening, embark on an overnight transfer towards South Sinai, ready for your mountain adventure.
Day 4 – Mount Sinai Sunrise & Saint Catherine Monastery – Transfer to Sharm El Sheikh
In the pre-dawn darkness, begin the ascent of Mount Sinai. The climb is challenging yet deeply rewarding; as the first rays of sunlight bathe the surrounding mountains in gold and rose hues, you stand on the sacred summit where Moses is said to have received the Ten Commandments.
Descend to visit the Monastery of Saint Catherine, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the oldest working Christian monasteries in the world. Within its ancient walls lie priceless icons, manuscripts, and the famed Burning Bush.
In the afternoon, travel through the dramatic landscapes of the Sinai Peninsula to Sharm El Sheikh, the jewel of the Red Sea, where turquoise waters meet golden beaches. Check in to your resort and relax after an unforgettable day.
Day 5 – Red Sea Adventures in Sharm El Sheikh
The Red Sea is renowned for having some of the world’s most pristine coral reefs and vibrant marine life. Spend the day at leisure enjoying your resort or venture out for snorkeling or diving excursions to Ras Mohammed National Park or Tiran Island. Non-divers can take a glass-bottom boat ride to admire the colorful corals without getting wet, or try parasailing for a bird’s-eye view of the coastline.
In the evening, stroll through Naama Bay with its lively cafes, seafood restaurants, and shops, soaking in the laid-back charm of this resort city.
Day 6 – Sinai Desert Safari & Bedouin Experience
After a relaxed morning, set out for an afternoon desert safari. Ride quad bikes or camels across the rolling golden sands, framed by rugged mountains. As the sun dips low, arrive at a Bedouin camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars. Listen to local music, sip mint tea, and, far from city lights, gaze up at a brilliant night sky filled with constellations. This is the Sinai at its most magical — raw, peaceful, and timeless.
Day 7 – Return to Cairo & Departure
After breakfast, bid farewell to Sharm El Sheikh. A short domestic flight or scenic drive brings you back to Cairo. Depending on your departure time, enjoy some last-minute shopping or a final taste of Egyptian cuisine before your transfer to Cairo International Airport for your onward journey.
