Tour Plan

Day 01 : Arrival in Luxor – East Bank Temples

  • Arrival in Luxor (by flight or train).
  • Visit Karnak Temple Complex – the largest temple in Egypt with grand pylons, columns, and sacred lake,   Avenue of Sphinxes – a grand path once lined with hundreds of ram-headed sphinx statues leading toward Luxor Temple.
  •   Obelisks and pylons – several erected by powerful pharaohs like Hatshepsut and Thutmose III.
  • Luxor Temple – beautifully lit at night; a unique temple dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship,   Dedicated to the Theban Triad (Amun, Mut, and Khonsu) and used for the Opet Festival, where the gods traveled from Karnak to Luxor.
  •   Built mainly by Amenhotep III and later expanded by Ramses II.

  • Optional: Evening Sound & Light Show at Karnak Temple.
  • Overnight in Luxor.

Day 02 : Luxor – West Bank Treasures

On  Moring Breakfast at Bord

  • Cross to the West Bank for an in-depth visit:
    • Valley of the Kings – royal tombs including that of Tutankhamun:   Used from 1539 to 1075 BCE.
    •   Replaced the pyramids as royal burial places due to concerns over theft and preservation.
    •   The tombs were cut deep into rock and richly decorated with religious texts and scenes from the afterlife to guide the pharaoh’s soul.
  • Temple of Hatshepsut – majestic mortuary temple built into the cliffs,   Ruled during the 18th Dynasty (c. 1479–1458 BCE).
    •   One of Egypt’s few female pharaohs; she dressed as a king and even wore a false beard in statues.
    •   Her reign was marked by peace, prosperity, and grand construction projects, including this mortuary temple.
    • Colossi of Memnon – two massive seated statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, are two towering stone statues that have stood guard over the Theban necropolis for more than 3,400 years. These iconic figures are among the first monuments visitors see when entering Luxor’s West Bank.

  • Optional: Hot Air Balloon Ride at sunrise.
  • Overnight in Luxor.

Day 03 : Luxor to Aswan – En Route Temples

 On  Moring Breakfast at Bord

En route, stop at:

  • Temple of Edfu – dedicated to the falcon god Horus, also known as the Temple of Horus, is one of the best-preserved ancient temples in Egypt. Located between Luxor and Aswan, it’s a highlight for travelers cruising the Nile or touring southern Egypt.
    • Temple of Kom Ombo – unique dual temple for Sobek (crocodile god) and Horus and the  one of Egypt’s most unusual and fascinating ancient sites. Unique for its dual dedication, this temple honors two gods equally — Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder (Haroeris), the falcon-headed god.

Optional felucca (traditional sailboat) ride at sunset.

  • Overnight in Aswan.

Day 04 : Aswan – Temples & Islands

On  Moring Breakfast at Bord

  • Morning visits:
    • High Dam – one of the world’s largest embankment dams,   Planned in the 1950s, construction began in 1960 and was completed in 1970.
    •   Designed by Egyptian engineers with support from the Soviet Union.
    •   Built to replace the earlier Aswan Low Dam (built by the British in 1902), which was insufficient to fully control the Nile.
    •
    • Unfinished Obelisk – in the ancient granite quarries and its most fascinating ancient sites. Found exactly where it was carved—in a granite quarry—it provides rare and valuable insight into ancient Egyptian stone-carving techniques. Had it been completed, it would have been the largest obelisk ever erected in ancient Egypt.

    • Philae Temple – romantic island temple dedicated to goddess Isis and is one of the most enchanting and beautifully located temples in Egypt. Dedicated to Isis, the goddess of magic, motherhood, and healing, it stands as a symbol of devotion, rebirth, and architectural beauty — all set on a picturesque island in the Nile near Aswan.
